Resurrecting an old thread..........
I have a some smoke on start up but that disappear after 10 mins or so but the sheen does not or certainly when idling. Uses no oil though nor coolant. It does misfire when started up from cold for the first 30 secs or so...injectors due a once over?
TIA
We bought a Bene 38 which had a B&G linear autopilot. Changed the control unit for a Raymarine SPX10, ST6002 and a rudder reference unit. It is bit of a faff to set up initially but when you have the Autolearn takes over.
Upwind or downwind it tracks superbly. It is quiet and extremely to use...
+1 they are very good but we attached them to lifejackets and they WILL go off if you leave the boat and all hell does break loose.
However it is good reminder that we have them and they do work. SWMBO will not out past the lock in Sutton Harbour without them fired up.
Batteries last forever...
Had the same - had the dealer clean the burner and it's fine now. Mine had 400 plus hours use in one year which, apparently, is heavy use for a boat. That coupled with the sporadic nature of the heaters use caused the burner to coke up a bit.
+1 on the Dell Mini 10. Just bought an ipad which whilst three times the price does run Navionics software which is excellent but power hungry. Dell battery lasts forever well 6 hours anyway
Generally having done a search most seem to prefer Simpson swivelling davits. Any good or bad comments?
Does anyone have a picture of them transom mounted?
Before I buy there is a make of retractable davits that stay in situ but seem to pull back in that I cannot find on google. any ideas as I...
I had a B&G ubit like yors until I changed to Raymarine. Mine used to do that in the marinas, locks and moored alongside some boats - may be inteference that you are getting.
Try your old transducer pluged in and over the side when next out.
