What's French for "Can I have a berth for a night?"

I'm sailing to France for the first time this summer. Is there a good resource online or published for the kind of phrases French harbour masters or marina offices might expect? For example, asking for a berth for a few nights, bridge opening times etc. Thanks.

Can the cooling stack in a VP2003 Heat Exchanger be removed from the body of the heat exchanger (am going to descale it)?

I used Wickes Brick Cleaner (neat) on my VP 2003 exhaust elbow. It only cleans up the calcium deposits (which it did very well), does nothing for the soot, and the real cause of the poor water flow was the rusting up of the waterways in the elbow.

I'm going to hang a pulley for the cruising chute halyard from the gantry atop the mast. I'm wondering whether a hard or soft shackle is best. From my old climbing days metal to metal was frowned upon. But I don't know if the soft shackles could handle the chafe - once up there it's staying...

Hi, I've replaced the exhaust elbow and gasket on my VP2003. After a long run there's slight furring on the outside so I think at running temp there's slight leakage. I didn't over tighten the elbow nuts because I didn't want to shear them off. I can't see anything in the engine manual...

I have the same problem with my Garmin 722 plotter and Vesper 6000 AIS. I presume it's a plotter problem because that's where all the calculations are done.

I'm fitting a new heat exchanger to my 2003 and have purchased new sealing rings for the pipes. Do they need to be fitted with grease or are they placed in dry? Any tips from you good folk, please?

I have a Solaris Sunrise 36 with twin VP 2003s. Like RichardS I've fitted FlexoFold 16x13s and achieve the same performance as him, although I typically run at 2000 revs and get 6 kts (lighter boat?).

I'm about to replace the exhaust elbow on my Volvo 2003. Do I need to use gasket sealant with the gasket or will the gasket suffice on its own? Thanks.
