Id start by checking out the exhaust elbow... low power, revs unburnt fuel and smoke all are classic fouled elbow problems

To all you Bavaria 34 owners out there. The boat is fitted with eiter a 20HP or 30HP (ok 19 and 29) has anyone any experience of the 20HP lump.... is it sufficient? do you feel the power controls the both when close manouvering? I welcome your input. regards smeaks

I am fitting a 500w windlass to a 31 ft yahct. The batteries are aft of the engine. If i fit a battery (smallish amp hrs) fwd in a locker and run locally to the windlass motor from there what cable size can I expect to use. I am assuming this would reduce the cable size running forward and plan...

Checked the cable run today and the run will be 7 m therefore 14m both runs so 16mm2 it is

The 16mm2 is in the manual against boat size so I think should be ok does anyone use thicker against 60a ! What current does a starter take?
