Exactly this is the whole point! An AIS onboard is there to display in the receiver module of another vessel close enough to need to consider you a danger... it does have to or needto be monitored on a web based app. Mine uses a splitter and is not the best signal but i know it shows up on...
To all you Bavaria 34 owners out there.
The boat is fitted with eiter a 20HP or 30HP (ok 19 and 29) has anyone any experience of the 20HP lump.... is it sufficient? do you feel the power controls the both when close manouvering?

I am fitting a windlass options
1) fit seperate battery locally in forecabin with isolator from the charging system then limit the run on the motor control feed cables. What diameter cable would be needed to charge it?
2) run the cables direct from the house battery but utilise a larger cable...
