I want to buy a remote control conversion kit and throttle control for a Mercury 6hp 4 stroke. The Mercury remote control box I have has a pull throttle function but I am told this may not be correct and it may need a push throttle control box - anyone fitted one of these kits and knows...
I found this stuff in the bilges of my Copland trailer sailer, between the floors and glassed over - what on earth is it? It's light but doesn't float so assume it's not for buoyancy, nor could it be ballast, whole lot probably only weighs a kilo.
Completely flummoxed:confused:
Thanks for the filling in some more detail, very interesting. And yes, kudos to Two Jags who, as ex merchant navy, understood the industry, and tried to do something to save the UK merchant fleet and jobs.

- Radio will restart.
- M & M2 will now show in channel list

A quick google came up with : http://www.lawson-his.co.uk/bosch-2608691013-accessories-for-the-bosch-electric-scraper-blades-sm-40-hms-tungsten
Brilliant bit of kit but nothing except this tungsten blade will work, or last more than 5 minutes. Do round off the corners to avoid gouging the gelcoat.
