I did manage to get a Procter Sonata boom gooseneck jaws to fit a new Selden mast side gooseneck with no problem. But your problem with a Sonata boom is its slightly shorter than the HH23 boom - will you be able to tension the mainsail foot adequately measure very carefully? I can give you...
I do like the downhaul brought aft, and I could easily route a line aft to the cockpit using the routing used for the old furling line. I think I will try this and honestly feeling daft for not realising it as an idea before.

Anyone have an idea where I could source (from within the UK) one of these. It is the piece which joins the pump tube to the body of the footpump. The spigot has broken off, as per images....

Indeed, I have not snagged a pot in my little Sonata, but I have been on a survey vessel that snagged creel line on camera gear, and in freeing the stuff a boathook got sent off like a javelin under the tension.
Ah ha I bought one of these earlier this year. Will have to investigate service soon. Curiously getting it to start seems to involve tilting it up with fuel tap open until fuel mix starts to drip into dinghy, then tilt it down and fires first time. Anyway thanks for this thread, I at least know...
On the One Design Sonatas yes sail numbers are Class Association allocated; not apparently on the lift keel variant. Mine arrived with a sail number issued by the RNCYC of which I am not a member and am not entitled to use. I invented my own Sail number.
