I'm a convert of OpenCPN since Hurricane loaded it on my laptop in Italy. Used it loads since and as he says, it's easy to plan your route on a Sunday evening in the comfort of your armchair and dump it on the boat prior to setting off. Happy cruising.
Nah, SS roller the only way to go. You don't say what chain/anchor you have but get the heaviest your setup (motor) will run. Heavy gear will keep the chain central on the roller even in meaty crosswinds.
Congratulations on a splendid refit James, very impressed with the can do attitude to it all - wishing you many happy hours of happy hours on your new ship.......
I'm with MapisM in all this Porto. I don't understand what your point is here or what you are trying to compare... I mean you don't go out in anything more than a chop or a breeze, you've said so yourself before, and when you do go out its up and down your local coastline a few miles so why is...
That's really bad luck Mike. I doubt its from lifting unless there has been impact. No reason for the hull to start flexing now is there? I know there is a temptation to see how these things go when the crack is just starting out but its more critical than a car windscreen and a healthy...
These are petty victories for the sellers, the real inconvenience of course is getting a 100 Euro cab to buy a 20 Euro kettle just to have a cup of tea......
Stick to beer I say. ?
I agree with Mrs Magnum! For Novurania you have a couple of choices. EAMS based in SoF will have some stock ribs to choose from but a bit pricey I found and limited choice..... Otherwise import directly yourself which is what I did followed by a few others, JFM, BartW, Hurricane....Easily done...
You guessed right JFM, they have a few of them placed around the Princess stand at CBS. Looks like a graphic is applied and then a clear laquer sprayed over..... Looks good
Looks like you had a very nice trip with excellent conditions - very nice overhead and elevated pics so thanks for posting. I should have made the time to pop out there - something to look forward to for next year.
