Not sure which Bukh you have, but if its not the sender and temp appears ok, , check on this forum about faulty temp alarm and the fix for it, common issue, especially with DV20's
Thanks for all your replies, I'm not really think over long distances, just as others have said, I was just thinking about an easier way just to give me time to do other things, and not have to keep going back and tweaking the Tiller Pilot,
As I know very little about yacht electronics, I would like some advice please,
I have a Moody 29, which I sail single handed most of the time. All lines are fed back to the cockpit which is a great help, and I make good use of my Navico TP300C Tiller Pilot.
What I would like to know is do I...
Could also be that the alarm is the charging alarm fault, very common on DV20's, and covered on here before, which may have masked other alarms if the panel was being switched off.
I had the same fault, and sorted it by buying components and following the guide on the inadee site mention in the...
Hi Bremar, I repaired my 3100's with the part mentioned above, N27AZ, LCD 2x16 Black Module, from Maplins. Buy the screen and if you take it apart there are two elastomer strips inside, enough to fix 2 screens.
Yes its a very annoying alarm to be going off all the time, since changing mine it hasn't done it since, except when it did overheat:(
My temp sensor appears to be different with only one central connector but I know it works. I have the full instrument panel gauges to fit soon so I realize I...
Its a well known issue with the DV20, I had the same issue. if you are handy with a soldering iron you can buy the parts from places like maplin, its the distribution plate, type inadee, diode and dv20 into google and there is a handy website describing the fault and how to fix it,
Keep an eye out on the Karcher Outlet site on the internet. They have different deals on their models. I bought a K2 compact from there a couple of months ago for £30. They sell them as Refurbished / end of line and come in a plain box, but mine looked brand new. Brilliant for that price so I...
Thanks everyone for the advice, it's so easy to think you have a major problem when it could be just a loose connection or the batteries haven't quite got enough power, I'll check these things first!
Hi,
I have an issue where my Bukh DV20 has suddenly refused to start, no noises, nothing. For the past couple of weeks when I turned the battery power on I've been hearing a clicking sound for a minute or two but couldn't pinpoint where it was coming from. From inside I have checked the ignition...
During the summer we left Gosport heading for Chichester, we hadn't been that way in quite a while and with hardly anyone around, my wife was happily fishing with her hand line, I could see the gap on my new Hudl with navionics on, but thought it had been nice they had put two easier to see red...
Here is my set up, reading from the Le Tonkinois site, I cant fit an external temp sensor or an 801
Thanks Dom, I'm beginning to think about just saving up for another one but its still a challenge atm,
Thanks Martin, not sure if I can get to where I need to measure but I'll read up a bit more
Thanks for the quick replies, I had hoped it would be down to a bad connection somewhere, but all the connections I have found and cleaned have made no difference, spent a lot of time with the fuel pump and its tubing and connections. Thanks Duncan, not sure about the heater under load, I'll...
