How to tell if it's coppercoat?

How to tell if it's coppercoat?

I have just bought a boat and been told that the hull was copper coat antifouled around 4 years ago. The seller (dealer) doesn't have any documentation to prove this, just the previous owners word, and the assumtion that nothing will need doing for at least a few more years. The hull is...

May 1st, Round the Island powerboat race viewing?

Does anyone know whether I'd get a good view if anchored in Osbourne Bay, or are they likely to hug the mainland side at this point??

    Kruger Boats

Thank you for the above. Yes, that is the boat I'm interested in, but found it on a different advert on Facebook Market place. I did find the manufacturers website but would be interested in whether anyone actually has any experience of the brand? Handling / build quality etc. We came out...

    Kruger Boats

We are searching for a small boat to keep on our Solent berth on the Isle of Wight. Have found an advert for a Kruger Premier 2 which ticks all of our boxes for size / accomodation etc , however I'm unable to find any info at all on this brand online. The one for sale has a 50hp 4 stroke...

    New boat ideas.

Shameless plug! But our Bavaria 32 went on Brokerage yesterday (although it'll be in Cowes until next week when returning to Gosport). Fits nicely on our 10m mooring ;-) Bavaria - 32 Sport Motor Boat for sale in United Kingdom | Boatshop24

Bavaria 32 Sport - Engine Hatch

Are you able to remove the screws from the table base? I'm fairly sure that the hydraulic strut is conected to the underside of it or next to it...

    Wrapping vs Painting

Actually, this is the main reason (other than the colour change) that I want to do something with mine. Have a similar problem with the rear quarters and needing to wax them on almost every visit to the boat!

    Wrapping vs Painting

Many thanks for all the replies. Plenty of food for thought there! Cheers, Paul

    Wrapping vs Painting

We are replacing the canopy on our Bavaria 32 Sport over the winter and will be going for a dark grey fabric to replace the old dated looking blue. At the same time, I'm wanting to modernise her slightly by colour coding the hull stripe in grey to match the canopy (same shade as new Bavaria...

Anybody else noticed a extraordinary amount of fouling this year.

This was the state of my out drives / props after just 3 weeks of non use (they were cleaned prior to this!!) Now that premier marinas will dry stack boats up to 11.5 meters I'm on the waiting list for next year...

Anybody else noticed a extraordinary amount of fouling this year.

Same on the Solent. 3 weeks left without use and we struggled to hit 20 knots last week traveling from Gosport to Yarmouth (design speed of 32 knots that it was doing easily a few weeks ago). As I clumsily managed to drop a davit in to Yarmouth harbour, I was able to justify employing a dive...

Mercruiser 3.0lx cut out at full throttle

I had this some years ago on a 5ltr fitted to a Rinker 242. After much searching I found it to be a loose / corroded wire on the back of the the ignition. Worth a look?

    Lazy Autohelm depth sounder...

Got a strange issue this season. I have an Autohelm Bidata (depth / speed) mounted on the dashboard of my Bavaria. Transducer on starboard side and paddle wheel on port side both accessed via the engine room. For some reason it's started to behave like an old valve set. From the time of...
