I’m sure that I’ve read somewhere that days at sea in the EU don’t count towards the 90 in 180. So, as far as I understand, days at sea on passage are not counted. Is that right?
How does it work? Midnight to midnight?
Thank you.
Like most others who insured with Y Insurance, we were a bit surprised when they sold out and in the process sort of transferred us on to Topsail Insurance.
Nevertheless, after many years with Y, and feeling a bit like we had been shunted sideways without any say in the matter, we gave Topsail...
High discounts are difficult to find on brand new boats.
Boat show offers combined with some dealer support from the manufacturer can get you to a good price at a show, and occasionally we have been offered good prices on models that are about to be replaced. Stock boats that have been with a...
I’m no techie, but as far as I remember we have 350ah batteries, a 2000w inverter and a 4.5kw genny. On a 38foot yacht.
We use the microwave or kettle or charging for laptops/phones etc as we sail, with just the inverter. Then, in the evening, when we are cooking, we use the genny for about...
We bought a display boat at Southampton Boat Show.
At the boat show, many of the boats are owned by dealers. But they often come with extended credit terms for the dealer and extra dealer support. The manufacturer also usually has an offer on the customer finance at the boat show too.

We were on our way at the time of the vote - Galicia if I remember correctly. We knew about the referendum, but never considered seriouslythat the UK would vote to leave.
We planned a round trip, over say 6-7 years.
We have been in Greece a couple of years now and did not sail at all in 2020...
No news on changes regarding the VAT arrangements. So some of us will be planning a one way trip back from the Med in 2021.
The journey down to Greece was a four year trip for us, but the journey back will a more speedy trip in 90 days this summer, if we choose that option.
It would seem so...

I have a friend who has been in Cartagena for a year or two. He has enjoyed it there because it is a lively town which still operates through the winter. It is enhanced by the holiday trade rather than driven by it. He seems to fly into Murcia or Alicante so a bit of choice on flights. He...
I think that it may be different in differing areas. We did ours at Vliho police station and they accepted the address of the IBA pontoon in Nidri as our Greek address.
I think that you may be quite surprised if you return to Greece.
Whilst we have only explored the Ionian recently, the cost of flights to Preveza, the price of winter lift outs, the new charges in many harbours with Premiums charged for cats, and the not-so-cheap-as-chips dining out experienc...
