Does this mean Fox's are no longer doing this type of work? Or have they cut costs by disposing of the best ( and therefore best paid) worker? Plus ca change (or similar).
It could be that this is where the MMO finally earn their salt - they charge enough. The developers will have to show that they are right about tidal flows etc. Be interesting to see if they can.
The building that was The Bosuns Locker (I think that's what it was called) at Queenborough featured on Homes Under the Hammer several years ago. An unfortunate lady bought it only to find difficult structural problems and put it on the market again. Nothing seems to have happened since.
I can remember going to see Windjammer, at Leicester Square Odeon, in the original Cinerama. I was about ten, and that was ever such a long time ago, so can't really give an opinion as to "the best ever sailing film" but I believe I enjoyed it.

Bit of thread drift, but does anyone know how gas buoys used to work? Like, what gas, how were they recharged, lit etc. My old granddad was a lamplighter when many street lights ran on gas, surely there wasn't a marine equivalent going around at dusk?
Wonderful to see them in our waters, but I wish the "experts" would leave them alone - mind you its good to see that Essex Police still have a marine unit even if it is spending its time herding whales.

The Gateway may well be taking trade from Thamesport, though its decline started long before, I think, but its Tilbury that is taking trade from Sheerness (especially fresh food imports) in the fight to compensate for its own loss of trade to Gateway. Cuckoo in the nest.
