Quiet week on the permanent notices:

1. Three new charts to be published on 26th March: Chart 1185 - River Thames, Sea Reach. Chart 1606 Thames Estuary, Fisherman's Gat to Princes Channel. Chart 1609 Thames Estuary, Knock John Channel to Sea Reach.
2. Removal of two of the unlit large ship mooring buoys at the Mouse (Knock John Channel)

Temporary

1. Kingsferry Bridge back in normal operation - after 'extensive' repairs;
2. Unmarked Obstruction in Faversham Creek close to the shore line between Buoys No.5 and No.7. Covers mid to high water.
3. Isle of Grain No.7 Jetty – Site investigation and structural survey work. Starts 5th March for a month.
4. Great Yarmouth, River Yare East side- Diving Operations and Works - Berths 5C and 6A between 16th and 22nd March.

Hadn't noticed that Havengore Bridge had been out of operation, but now it's back in service and brought to my attention, reminds me to put a trip through there on this year's 'to do' list!

Yep, Havengore is still closed according to the Qinetic website

Can we regard the "temporary" notice that Kingsferry is back in action as a subtle hint?

No, it makes the point about having had 'extensive repairs' and is only in the Temporary list because NtM from harbour authorities such as Peel Ports eventually get cancelled rather than the repairs are temporary - if you follow me......

Apparently Network Rail (who own the wretched thing) were quoted as saying that a machinery upgrade would need to be scheduled, but didn't say when.
