My boat is getting old. I have 2 x MAN 2842 LE 433 1550 HP diesel engines at my boat. They are already 13 years old and at 1600 hours. They are well maintained and never brought up any problems. But I think now comes a period where I need to act a bit pro-active. I know that failure of injectors...
Hi, I am from Istanbul. Even though I have not done business with them, I know that Portofino is a known company in the market. I know very reliable surveyor from Bodrum, who are also taking care of insurance cases of Pantaenius Insurance, as it can be a reference for you. I also know a very...
I checked with local Sunseeker now. They do not have off the shelf but they offered to bring it with a boat that will be coming for delivery. That is also a good option. As the season is over, I have time to wait.
On the other side still no response from Trend Marine. We will wait.
I am in Gocek/Turkey. Sunseeker uses the same rail at all their yachts. I believe that it is an off-the-shelf item, if the correct supplier can be located. Re-manufacturing it requires moulds/press work, which will be more expensive in the end.

This summer I damaged the stainless steel rub rail around the swim platform. There was a sudden storm, the boat moved back, swim platform smashed to the quay wall. All is fine with the GRP but the stainless steel protection rail is damaged and has to be replaced. I talked with a local...
I don’t know about the actual condition of this boat but Mengi Yay is a quite well established shipyard with international awards and they have vast experience and know-how especially about wooden construction. I had been at one of their wood/epoxy boats (Seleda) last year. We had a long...
Berth can be found cheaper especially in Greece, whereas shipyard costs would be slightly higher. I sgree with PilotWolf about the captain’s cost. But all in all GBP 200k will be enough. No mistakes there.
Dear Hurricane,
I am also planning for your Sunbrella solution to have a more ‘homelike’ feeling at the outer spaces. I also see that this type of textile is more and more used by Azimut, San Lorenzo, Princess at the new yachts. So the trend was vinyl, then Silvertex and now these fabric-like...
