Maybe try using Starbrite MSR Black Stain remover? (MSR stands for mould stain remover I believe). After lockdown I had this problem on our upholstery, tried lots of things, and then the local chandler recommended this. I was dubious at first, tried it, never looked back.

Have you tried turning it off and on again? Updating the firmware? I seem to recall there was an issue where some chartplotters may have reverted to an older date.

Hey All Old thread alert! I had the same problem… took the top gasket off… bl**dy fish about 3 inches long! I think it may have even survived when returned to the sea… Glad I didn’t leave it till our next visit! ATB Al
