I certainly don't mind you posting the photos and would certainly recommend Coast2Coast Transport. They did a very good job of transporting my boat and kept me informed of progress all the way.
Hi, I didn't need to replace it. Had the motor stripped down, rewound and baked. Fitted new brushes and the guy that carried out the work also replaced the Contacts in the 'reversing contactor'. All refitted and working well to this day.

I had the window material replaced after 9 years, it was done with 2 rows of straight stitch which seem to be a very fine pitch. No welding, and was/is very successful. Don't think I had a UV problem, they were just dull and scratched. Of course I did NOT do this, a very useful guy in Sarisbury...

Jez, these http://www.splicingallied.com/ guys may be able to help. They have made me many lifting devices over the years. will be worth a visit to explain requirement but they are only in Staines.

I have used this method with Rope & Chain as well as all chain. When hauling all chain you need a large ball fender. I used to make the Alderney ring (split type) at about 200/250mm Dia and had very few problems.
