Med boaters - will you get to your boat this year?

Sounds like the manager needs to read the government guidance as people are not required to provide evidence of thier exemption from being required to wear a face covering. Whether or not he really qualified is a different matter but at least one company subsequent agreed to shell out 6k for...

Titchmarsh marina with a 2m draft - easy right?

Indeed, with a decent spring tide I found places like Woodbridge, Tollesbury and Heybridge basin perfectly doable with the kind of draft being talked about here. It hadn't previously occurred to me that there would be any issue at all with Titchmarch provided one didn't try and leave or depart...

    Situation in the Solent

Indeed, as an example from today- Portland marina are turning boats away with no space until Thursday despite having recently installed new pontoons and Weymouth now permitting rafting again.

    Navionics 'freshest data'

Granted its not the most onerous of tasks but it may have been there was a setting in the 'chart installer' that I had missed. Its not immediately obvious to my why anybody would only want to update part of a chart unless it an attempt to save data amounts.

    Navionics 'freshest data'

Just renewed the subscription on the card for my chart plotter and for some reason it won't simply download the whole area in question but instead requires a user definable rectangular area to be downloaded which will need four of these to be selected to cover the entire area of the chart...

When was the last time a new marina was opened on the East Coast?

IIRC when Essex marina broke free in October 1987 it ended up where BYH is now. Given BYH's relative youth the finger pontoons are surprisingly short and springy.

Essex marina perhaps but not the yacht harbour

    Sailing E from Chichester

Looking at the tide times for Wednesday I assume the passage plan will a reasonably early departure in order to get clear of the Looe channel before the tide becomes foul at around 11am. Given your draft the usual complaint of silting at Brighton shouldn't be too much of an issue. According...

    Ramsgate open?

Premier marinas (Eastbourne, Brighton, Chichester, etc) opened to visitors outside of thier group on Monday. Assuming the OP is heading further West then most of Lake Solent opened up in mid April

    Brighton to Solent

Bembridge was fully booked for the first May Bank holiday (I haven't checked this time around) so while the OP might be able to 'squeeze in' somewhere I wouldn't count on being able to just rock up and get a berth.
