Others are right the Haven has much better facilities many more dedictaed visitor berths a chandlery, a resturant/bar and a club which serves food. It is abit further to walk into town though. The building works have largely been finished or others mothballed/not started yet -- Was there ever...
Very small old boats which require a lot of work are worth virtually zero, partly because the fixed costs of mooring are so relatively expensive. The seller just wants to be rid off due to storage costs and the fact that it is taking up room. The problem is that, once you take into account the...
I had a similiar problem three years ago on the firts start of the season on a Bukh, it turned out to be the connections at or inside the key starter switch. You can easily get to the back of the switch panel - though how you would then "hot wire" I have no idea. But in our case simply...
You will find that the gate type valve still works! What I did was leave the existing valve in place ( don't want to be fiddling around in that cramped area) then extend the diesel fuel pipe from the tank to the front of the engine, install a small valve designed for the purpose from ASAP...

When I visited 5 years ago there was certainly somewhere to have a shower - as I recall a sort of fishermans social club on the quay with a bar, meeting rooms and very decent shower facilities.
We have used the "floating" pontoon at Rowhedge for an overnight stop. Just be aware that it and you will dry out completely at low tide and therefore it will be considerably lower than you at that time !
