This is what I’ve got. End fitting came off easy enough. Seems odd that the “3rd” end is just tied off on the bottom of the boom. It’s just round a pin , which I suspect it’s supposed to be tied to, but access is tight. I could possibly add a cascade to that and lead it back.

Thanks all. there was a bit of string on the tack shackle - it was connected to the halyard shackle whilst there was no sail on, rather than just connecting the 2 shackles together - I thought that was probably just for storage to keep it all together , but maybe that’s what the previous owner...
