This is what I’ve got. End fitting came off easy enough. Seems odd that the “3rd” end is just tied off on the bottom of the boom. It’s just round a pin , which I suspect it’s supposed to be tied to, but access is tight. I could possibly add a cascade to that and lead it back.
I've got a First 21.7, planning to replace all the standing and running rigging this winter.
The boom is currently in my garage, and i'm measuring up all the lines to replace. Reef lines go from one end to the other, simple - i'll just pull a mouse line through. The outhaul on the other hand...
bought a first 21.7 over 2020 lockdown, great fun little toy. the washboards have seen better days and I was going to replace with a homemade polycarbonate / acrylic one this winter, but didn’t get round to it. That’s stil the plan So Ive knocked up some new ply washboards, they only need to...

Howdy - been a while since i've been here.
We used to own a boat - sold about 4 years ago, due to not really using it as kids and a busy business for one of us and busy career for the other came along and life changed.
HOWEVER - we are trying to get back into sailing - we sailed a fair bit when...
Doesn't really matter, as long as it is electricaly similar to a normal raymarine / simrad etc log. By "old" I meant one that somebody didn't want any more and were going to chuck out anyway!
Hi
I'm working on a home made boat electronics project (using an Arduino mega and possibly a Raspberry Pi computer for the geeks out there). As part of the initial development I need to use a log / speed sensor at home for testing. If anyone has an old one that they don't need any more can you...
Re: Out of the Frying Pan...
e-borders is almost certainly illegal as the 24hour notice is effectively requiring 'permission' from the government to go abroad. Its going to make to life very interesting in my job (aircrew) as we go places with about 1 hours notice - not 24!
My guess is it will...
