Just bought an old zodiac fast roller 2.85. can anyone point me to the right inflation adapters for this. There's one big type on the tubes and a smaller one on the keel and high pressure floor. Thanks
Not got a pic of the tube valves , forgot to take one but here's the floor. The tube valve caps are a bayonet fitting if that helps. But the bayonet fitting on a SUP pump I had wasn't quite long/deep enough to engage.Any chance of a picture of hose adapter and valves?
Really, i tried pulling the rest and its well stuck only parted on that bow section . What pitfalls should i be looking for when re-gluing?Hi Anthony that is the dust cap+ seal. I would suggest you take serial number / model and contact Ron hale they are very helpful. As for the picture of the floor I think you have quite a job on there.
Hi Anthony, some of the things to watch for is to make sure you remove all the old adhesive probably using acetone but before you do put masking tape around the lines left by the original adhesive. Use a good quality 2 part adhesive and follow instructions. Prepare both surfaces to be bonded (clean) use fine sandpaper and lightly sand in these areas . Before applying first coat of adhesive go over the surface with acetone. Once you have bonded the floor back into place remembering you will be using an impact adhesive(really only one chance of getting it right). I would reinforce the join to give repair maximum strength by adding strips to overlap the original floor material and the tubes (Belt and braces).Really, i tried pulling the rest and its well stuck only parted on that bow section . What pitfalls should i be looking for when re-gluing?
I got mine from a local company. £6 for half a litre i think it worked out at, I have plenty of acetone but was told MEK is better as it doesn't flash off as quick and softens the PVC better. But anyhoo, guess both work. Gonna give it a go today if the weather holds.I annoyed myself by buying a pot of MEK (as recommended by the adhesive) because when i opened the pot and smelt it, its acetone!!! an expensive way of buying acetone, much cheaper from your local GRP supplier.
