Unfortunate. thankfully no one on board.

I think the Carrick used to have a tradition of sinking alongside in the Clyde.

Somewhere I have an old letter from the Clyde Cruising Club, which was based in the Carrick, saying "Dear Sir, We regret that it has taken so long to process your membership application. Our office sank. As your cheque was water-damaged we return it and request that you send another."

Not a tradition. She only sank once in the middle of Glasgow, re-floated she sank again being towed down river to the maritime museum.

I remember Zebu sinking once before alongside the quay in Conwy when she went down with the tide onto a scaffolding pipe, which pierced the hull. At low tide they repaired the hole, pumped out the water and up she came with the next tide.

Great reporting! "The bough of the sunken ship can be seen underwater"

Seems to have sunk in two places too! "by the Pumphouse Pub" which is at the Canning half tide dock next door, and "by the Tate" which is on the Albert dock. It is in the Albert:encouragement:
