What anchor and scope should a land yacht use?
Not raced on land , , well have for a few seconds, because finding it meant the end of your race.
Motorboats and sailing yachts here carry a mudweight, which depends on their size , the biggest of around 45ft carry one or two 20kg weights, as for scope it depends on the bottom, some areas have a thin layer of mud on a hard bottom, you're going to need a lot on that, other areas the mud in which is deep you only need a little.

A 22kg Mud weight.

A broads yacht, This one's on the historic ships register, Madie, built 1904, loa 43ft 9 inches, beam 8ft 4 inches , draft 4ft10 inches which is unusually deep for here. With her current Bermudan mast 1500sq ft sail max, if she fits her gaff rig 1650sqft1720411397702.png
They are still building broads yachts, Madie's sail number is 52, broads yachts now number over 400.

This one is the home built 31ft 3inches, " Stellar"number 417, recently sailed the 50 mile 3 Rivers Race in 7 hours 31 minutes, which includes dropping the mast, 4 times to go under bridges, that's on rivers down to 60 ft wide. Try tacking on that!!!

A link to last years race video, which was a light wind race, this years race was hitting 30mph but the video for that isn't out yet.
But we were on TV...

That’s pretty swanky for a Broads yacht. We used to sail hired Y&B one-designs, which we thought smart at the time. One year we couldn’t get one and had a similar-sized half-decker but with a lugsail which seemed very dull in comparison. I remember that it was called Noinin. I have a great urge to call your rig ‘bermudian’, which was in general use at one time, as was ‘spinaker’ with one n.
