Notice "not to be used for navigation" what is it to be used for then?

Why not publish chartlets that can be used for navigation,, confused..

Next month, "free kettle, not to be used for boiling water"?

I recently bought a YM Channel Islands Cruising Guide and discovered that all the depths have been removed from the chartlets. I don't mind being forced to buy a chart if I intend to visit somewhere but being forced to buy a chart in order to check whether there would be enough water to visit is a bit annoying.
