yarmouth this weekend

I have booked in this weekend coming and the wind keeps changing but i am not to bothered my self but i have the wife and my 12 year old boy on board and they are not so keen on a journey with a bit of rough weather. Any how looking forward to it but i want to keep my boy occupied over the long weekend so Saturday is taking care with activity's that Yarmouth are putting on for the day but does any one have any idea's for what we could do except being in the local pubs. I have agreed that he can take his x-box but i don't want him on that all day.

Walk to "off the rails" for lunch/tea/evening meal

Breakfast at gossips cafe

Lunch at the royal solent (best view I know)

A game of Scramble in the kings head

Visit yarmouth castle

Bus trip to needles battery

......throw the x box

Bus to Newport then on to Black Gang Chine. One of very few theme parks that allow well behaved dogs in too. Ideal if there are two kids, but just as good with one. A day rover ticket for the whole Island is about £20 - 25.

Bus to Newport then on to Black Gang Chine. One of very few theme parks that allow well behaved dogs in too. Ideal if there are two kids, but just as good with one. A day rover ticket for the whole Island is about £20 - 25.

We've booked to take the car, £56 return, can pootle round the Island all we like.

sadly the day of a crabbing line and crab races have gone.

We went to Dance on the Duver this year and they had a brilliant crabbing competition for the kids. My father-in-law won a bottle of wine for being the oldest kid taking part.

So far it's been a nice day at Yarmouth . There was not to many boats in Yarmouth first thing this morning but it looks full now.
The afternoon sun and a few real ales are making for a nice afternoon . Happy days

Just had a great weekend in Yarmouth , our first blast out this year, managed 29.8 knots with a dirty bottom so it doesn't need lifting yet!.
Looked around the stalls and took a lucky dip on a blue boxed marked Volvo spares, he asked for a fiver and as it could see a couple of Racors in there I gladly handed a fiver over. A quick look inside and a round up to just over £200 worth of parts lurking in the bottom, reply from Mrs VP was that dinner was on me, ok I said, she said "all weekend"

Had a good weekend, shame weather couldn't have been a tad warmer, but a couple of pints of goddards and a v good hogs roast on Saturday was a nice start to my birthday weekend. Then watching the stalls blow away in a squall really was amusing...

Caught up with good friends and had some laughs. Good meal in on the rocks Sunday night..

Oh, and the old tug did 16.5knots on the way to Yarmouth which blew the cobwebs off her...

Did someone mention the broom owners club, bloody marvellous!
