I understand that there is a 30amp fuse somewhere in the start circuit on my Yanmar 3YM20 engine. I cant find it either physically or in any of the paperwork for the engine. Please can anyone tell me exactly where the fuse is ?
Thanks Andrew...

The wiring diagram in the owners manual shows a 3amp one in the positive feed from the key switch to the warning lights. I can't see one in the starter circuit

Thanks Vic, I have found the 3 amp fuse its behind the instrument panel, I plan to move it and make it more accessible. But apparently there is a 30 amp fuse somewhere, that is usually painted over with engine paint and difficult to find. If necessary I'll contact Yanmar and post the result.

The 30 amp fuse is part of the cable loom going from the engine to the control panel. It's quite close to the starter motor. It's in a little plastic holder which also holds a spare fuse. On my boat it was very hard to reach so I lengthened the wires going to it and then attached it further along the loom where I could more easily reach it using ratchet ties.
