I Need to replace some corroded bolts in my raw water manifold, am i restricted to Yanmar only or can i purchase elsewhere - if so what type of bolt do i need to ask for.

They should be standard engineering sizes on a Yanmar. It is only Volvo Penta that mixes head sizes and thread sizes, like you can get a 12mm head on an 8mm screw instead of the "standard" 13mm size or even an engine containing both metric and SAE.

Yanmar and to a greater and virtually universal extent, Honda often fit polished and/or domed screws with a "decorative" finish to give an air of engineering excellence. Watch out for the use of stainless in some applications but you should find that standard fixings from a proper engineering source or a marine one will fit the job's requirements satisfactorily.

They are standard metric threads, but the heads have integral "washers". You often find corroded heads but the shanks and threads should be OK.

and the heads mostly seem to be a size less than everyone else uses. 13 mm is almost universal but on my Yanmar they are mostly 12 mm. They also have an annoying fillet between the hex and the 'washer', allowing spanners to slip too easily.
