I tried to change the impeller on the my Yanmar 4JH4E this afternoon, straight forwards job I thought.
I had two kits from Orbitrade Marine, impeller, various gaskets and 2 "O" rings.
The packaging said it was suitable for a wide range of engines including the 4JH4E.
The impeller was the same size, but has more blades, which don't look quite so robust as the one I took out.
All went to plan until I tried to fit a new O ring. Neither of the m fit, one is too small, the other looks OK, but when your try and fit it, it jumps out of the groove.
On closer inspection it is slightly smaller, in diameter and cross section than the one I took out
Plan B, use the old one, but on inspection this has two chunks taken out of it, and would most likely leak.
Anyone had a similar problem with this brand of impeller?
Any idea what the size of the O ring is, and where I might buy on or two?

I bought these kits at least 2 years ago, and the have been store in my spares box, along with lots other potentially useful bits.
