Have a possible leaking fuel lifter pump diaphragm. Yanmar say no spares supplied - buy a new pump!.

Anybody know if parts can be obtained or has the 'chuck it away' system got me?.

They never have been obtainable - in any case replacing the diaphragm is very hit and miss - and if the diaphragm has gone it's likely other parts of the pump are worn.

If it's the price of the new unit that's concerning you, you'll find a Mazda fuel pump fits and if you can get a generic replacement you'll probably halve your outlay.

What you save in the capital cost of the motor they try and recoup in the spares and comsumables.

Which model Mazda fuel pump fitts? Is it a car or a van/pickup?

Don't know - take the old one along with you.
I'll stress that "genuine" Mazda replacements will cost nearly as much as Yanmar ones, you need to go for aftermarket replacements.
