I am considering replacing the 20+ years old mounts on my 1GM10.

The cost is significant but it seems that the Poly Flex one's are even more expensive.

"BUT they are better and last longer", says the sales company.

Any experiences?

Just ordered some from R&D marine - they have direct replacement for Yanmar mounts and are 38% cheaper than Poly Flex.
Mike Coates did recommend Poly Flex in his PBO article.
Others did say thier R&D mounts had worked well
best regards

Hi-

Here's a paste from the thread below. I've remounted two Yammars now using AV stuff, about 60 pounds all in each time!

Keep away from marine outlets seems to be the key-

I use these guys. Very easy to talk to, not sales led by any means.

I'm going in person tomorrow to buy a set for a Yanmar 2QM15. £20 each!

Yanmar four times the price.

Another firm is similar.. ROBUSH? I've not use them.

No connection etc..

I haven't used Robush for several years but they were very helpful and good on price. No reason to believe anything has changed. I bought BUKH engine mounts from them by simply looking at the BUKH mounts and getting ones from Robush with same part no.

I think that Robush sell a lot of mounts for diesel generators (road works, building sites etc.) and parts are cheap. However, they were selling exactly the same parts BUKH dealers sold and I think they were about 35% the price of "genuine" (i.e. painted red) marine parts.

What I liked about the R&D ones is that they are straight replacements, whilst i believe the AVindustries ones are not and require a little jiggery-pokery to install in place of original Yanmar's - However I maybe be wrong on this !

Yes, in this case your are wrong. ;) They are direct replacements, fit bearers and engine brackets hole for hole.
