GRP is virtually impossible to extinguish & will burn down to the waterlineWhat concerns me most there is the volume of thick black smoke. Image that in a marina.

If its insured, then the insurance will pay and it will be removed. However if its an illegal charter or has no insurance the skipper (or owner) will be arrested on the spot. What depth has it sunk in?
It will be interesting to see how it is salvaged/removed or will it be left. Marked as a wreck/obstruction and used as an interesting dive?
Would be interested to hear see how well the containment barrier works?
The window configuration was wrong for an Oyster, and the "bowsprit" was too understated for an Oyster of that apparent length. The cavita lines used to run through the middle of the windows of older Oysters, except the Holman & Pye HP models. The newer Oysters have their cavita lines above the line of smaller windows, but there are no Oysters with just three small windows in the current lineup.Looks like an Oyster, but it's a Solaris 72 DH: PRICE REDUCTION OF ISSOLAYA II | Northrop & Johnson

Could it be an insurance job - al la **** lightening? Boat for sale - difficult to sell - easiest way to recoup your money!
Yes, I remember seeing one about 30 years ago in very calm sheltered water. I think it was Port Edgar marina in a spell of settled weather. I saw the hull when it was recovered and it was as if someone had used a laser to cut it all along the waterline. It just burns until it gets to the waterline and then sinks.GRP is virtually impossible to extinguish & will burn down to the waterline
