We may be in a position to grab a bargain boat in the next few days, this would mean owning 2 boats at the same time but if things work out we could sell our current boat for a bargain price.

Do folks feel that a price in this region would attract a quick sale or is the market/time of year not right?

If the price/condition is right then there is never a bad time of year.

Now is good as people will definitely be looking for the start of the season in a few months.

Best way is see what else is on the market for that money - £55k sounds like quite a good price with twin diesels. You might catch more people searching up to £50k at £49,995 but obviously that's a 5k hit. You might be better off doing tgat but sticking to no negotiation if a quick sale is really required.

So, flights to Greece soon then?

Considering it yes, have also seen another F43 that we might get at a stonking price lol

Absolutely nothing, may end up owning 2 boats so moving the current boat quickly is attractive. Market value is around £65 to £75 but may take a while to sell at that price hence the question

I think that's too high for market value to be honest. There are very late (blue dash) s37s with KADs for under £80k, and even the occasion S38 in the £80k region. I reckon if you hung on and got lucky you'd get low 60s but who knows hiw long that would take.

55k should certainly generate interest and hopefully get a quick sale

That's sort of my thoughts, weve made the old girl quite pretty recently with lots of upgrades upholstery, electronics etc, just need someone looking for a bargain

Full spec and pics would help :)

A £55k S37 could be a bargain, or a waste of money... all down to condition really

E120, 4Kw radar, latest autopilot a few months ago, good covers, nearly new leather interior and nearly new tan outside upholstery. She thought all her christmases came at once when he bought her! (from me in case anyone missed that bit!) Plus the original owner upgraded to the gloss interior which later became standard and she has all stainless windscreens like the later ones so that and the excellent condition she looks much newer than a 97. Oh and she has a dry hull that has been epoxied and coppercoated. I still have the pics of the bare hull so you can see the epoxy is covering nothing up.

Awful lot of boat for that sort of money in my view. I was on her only 2 weekends ago drinking Jergens beer. Brought back a lot of very very good memories.

Thanks Mark, was going to add those details myself lol

Good example of how prices of boats in the "Med" will affect the UK market ?
Many of us probably regard a 3 hour flight to Spain/ France/France to look at a boat or two as a somewhat more attractive option than a 3 hour crawl on the motorway to a UK marina.
Folks with the hots for getting a bigger better newer boat will be far more interested in the "price to change" as opposed to desperately getting the last drop of current market value for their old boat.
Suspect it takes little more time to get your funds to Nice or Malaga and your new toy on lorry to UK than a totally UK transaction.
If you are thinking of buying ....take a look at the european broker websites.
