World Marinas and Ports

Hi all I am a beginner so forgive my ignorance.

I am hoping to do some World Saling and would like a book or information on World Marinas and Ports. What would be the best book to use while saling to unknown destinations to get info and radio channels and entry requirements. Cheers for nay advice

The “world“ is a very big place ! There must be millions of harbours and ports, far too big for any book (Scotland alone needs 5 thick pilot books).
You might want to narrow your ask down to specific regions to make a bit more manageable.

Cheers yes the World is a big place however I was looking for a general guide to Marinas frequently use ports for sailing enthusiasts. For example, the Med traversing the Red sea, Caribbean maybe a few books thanks for the time

Pilot books are what you want but there isn't one that covers the whole world! Most people use a combination of charts - printed but increasingly many only really have electronic (Navionics, e.g.) with maybe the odd large scale chart. Web sites like Noonsite as already mentioned, cruiser's wiki and also apps for things like anchorages and to act as an anchor alarm by monitoring GPS position. There's allsorts of resources out there...

Could be worth joining the Cruising Association. In their library they have most books about cruising the world - near and far.

Most of the books, e.g. Jimmy Cornell's guide, have basic information about Ports of Entry (places where you can legally enter and exit a country). They won't list all marinas and ports, you need a more local guide for that. You can't legally just rock up at random marinas in most of the world.
