My nails are bitten down to the quick and my champagne has vanished. I'm too pissed to drive SWMBO to the shops so she's gone on her own. (Damn, should have withdrawn Credit Card).

Re: Finger Nails..

My sofa is nearly broken and my wife says that shouting at the telly is childish. What a relief when the final whistle went!
You have to give it to the Aussies, they never give up - "The Little Aussie Battler" against the British (English) Bulldog. I thought that George Gregan was magnanimous in defeat. We will have to make him an honorary POM. But what would Campo have said?

Yeah, I take the view that when the winning side deserves congratulations I give them.
I thought the Aussies played well but thought that the run of play seemed to be slightly in England's favour. I think the stats confirm this.

Remember , we Kiwis are the youngest sons of the aristocracy (or at least remittance men) and your country's background is slightly different.;-)

A great game from anybody's viewpoint.

A forfeit in order?

Hi Brian

As you are a committed "pom basher" perhaps this forum should demand a forfeit from you. How about a post to the effect that

"England are the greatest team in the world and the weather over there is always a joy to behold; making sailing a pleasure every day"!

/forums/images/icons/smile.gif

It was the best game of rugby I've seen - and that takes two teams.

Incidentally - as I write it's pissing down and has been since yesterday morning!

I am too polite to enquire, but enjoy aussie baiting as much as they do to us.
Congratulations on having the second best rugby team ! They showed a toughness that our guys didnt. The knives are really out over here, at least for the coach and captain.
