This bit made me smile ........

To help boaters plan their journeys on the river while our schedule of winter works are underway the Environment Agency has produced a regularly updated downloadable map, detailing the work taking place and how long locks will be closed.

EA start off quite well, with occasional updates.
BUT when the works are well underway, they seem to lose interest and (some) changes are not noted.

Drove through Chertsey yesterday so stopped to take a look ..........on schedule I'm told .......

.....but definitely closed at the moment !

Hmmm..... not as deep as I remember it, but that planking will look particularly nice when they have caulked it.

Went passed on Saturday. All scafolding and planking removed and lock was 80% full of water so guess they're on schedule.
