Words to describe England football team

Interesting question there... which leads to another one.

England, Scotland and Ireland all have football and rugby teams, but only the English play cricket.

Why??

Most of the time, only England plays rugby and football too. Though in recent years the Irish rugby team has joined in.

But who cares? They are only games. They're not important.

Mind you, at the world moaning championships, the English Solent team has walked away with the gold medal for the last 50 years. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Friend of mine from work plays for Colwyn Bay Cricket team. He is often photographed on the back pages of the Daily Post. From what he says they often beat the English teams when they play in that league.

Why there does not appear to be a national side I do not know, though I am sure if one were formed he would be playing in it.

Personally, can't hack the game, too slow.
