Peterduck's comment is noted. Anyone considering the purchase of a wooden boat should be aware of the commitment they are taking on. It's right that you get more boat for your money, but it is not always easy for those not having had a wooden boat to comprehend the additional work that is required over and above that needed for GRP. I am quite happy with my mental approach!! If not I wouldn't have lavished 7 years love, affection, time and money which has provide me with a vessel of which I am very proud and is much admired.
However if, during the year you work 5 days per week and expect to sail on the other two days be wary that you may face some disappointment.
