Woodbridge Tidemill overnight prices high

Set aside your inability to understand a differing point of view and you might understand.

A differing point of view is fine

Factually incorrect statements are not

What is there to understand?

If the OP was overcharged by Tidemill he's got every right and reason to grumble but he has made incorrect statements about the pricing at St Kats and Limehouse and I'm a man who likes to get the facts right.

If the op would actually tell us the basis for the £40 charge at Tidemill it would help too

Time to get a life and pull your head out of your a#%e. For that reason, I'm out.

Guys this is ECF - we do things differently here, agree to disagree, different perspectives and all that.

Unfortuately the only person posting factually incorrect information is yourself. You have somehow managed to misconstrue the factual information provided then treat your misconstruction as the OP's error.

It was clearly stated that the nightly rate at St Kaths, when one stays for a week, is cheaper than Limehouse's nightly rate.
However when the cost of staying at the Tidemill in Suffolk is only a few pounds less than St Kaths, I respectfully suggest that the Tidemill has a pricing issue. It is a remote part of the Uk, it has both tidal and severe access restrictions and to have a pricing structure close to one of the top marinas and locations in the Uk suggests over pricing.
At no time has it been stated that the Tidemill is more expensive than St Kaths.
The size of the OP's vessel is totally irrelavent. It was a comment on factual experience. It is not for you to deride that experience just as it is not for me to argue that the breakfast you had this morning was something other than which you ate.
The point of the Tidemill pricing has now been made and I for one will not be revisiting this subject.

I seem to remember a few people wondering whether the tone of this forum would change when it moved up to the "main" part of the board.....

My 'I told you so' moment? :p

Yes but there is less Oxygen at this altitude, so this could have a bearing

Or a case of 'the bends' - we rose from the deep too fast?

Back to the original question:

Its a nice place to go to, they clearly advertise their prices and if you want to go to Woodbridge and remain afloat it is pretty much a captive market. We were ther last weekend and they were full. We only go there a couple of times per year and tbh the price differential is in the noise when compared to the rest of the costs of boating. The tightwadsailor might choose to take a mooring further downriver and come up in the dinghy... I suspect their annual rate is cheaper because less people wish to be permanently moored at a place with such restriced access - their business model is therefore different to many other marinas.

Good points, well made.
