Wood primer for damp wood?

The way I read it, if the wood is already a bit punky, this will replace the dampness and stiffen up the fibers. Like I said ^ that use is more for buildings. I have not tried it on a boat*. But it could be an answer. If it is interesting, I can send you Pierre's e-mail and you can quiz him directly.

Obviously, I have no connection with them, other than liking their products.

* Other than as a coating on ply or new wood.

Thanks for all the great advice. I'm drying out the areas I can, to paint them, and the very bottom of the bilges will just get wood preservative as they won't get dry enough to paint them, ever.

It's in great condition, no soft bits in the oak ribs or the pitch pine planks, and only surface rust on the iron coach bolts.
This is the 'before' appearance... 'after' piccies to follow in a few days!
