if you splice a length of bungee into the dynema you can have the bridle tight to the pole when not in use.Personally I don't like bridles on poles stored on deck, it's string or wire lying on the deck trapping dirt and getting underfoot.
I respect that other people have different priorities.

No I mean insert bungee into the dynema, as in inside the rope, so that under tension the dynema takes the load, but when slack the bungee contracts to keep it taught - ish.Do you mean it goes dyneema-bungee-dyneema?
