Winter Sailing

This is the first time I have kept her in the water for the winter
Today I had an absolutely fantastic sail with my son and it was worth several such days in the summer. Fast sailing in an offshore breeze and although cold it was not nithering and we had a great time whilst others were worrying about xmas.
Winter sailing when the opportunity arises is definitely worth thinking about for those , like me , who had not thought it a sensible option

It wasnt even winter when you wrote that. Take it from me ( I sail through winter) its a bit different in February when the sea has cooled down, the wind is direct from the steppes and there is snow blowing about.

In small doses it works so racing is ideal. But for cruising? Well I suppose some nutters go to the arctic cruising but it isnt for me.
