Winter sailing.
I sail in winter but I am not crazy.
I don't go out in snow, rain, wind above 20 knots or temperature below 8 degrees.

I'm off out shortly, it's unusually warm to day with a forecast of 10C, and a windspeed of 18 to 29mph. Unfortunately rain as well...

We live in another world, how can you use the word 'warm' and 10C in the same sentence.

Jonathan
Quite right Jonathon, we're escaping the European winter next month for a charter in the Whitsundays (with a few days in Sydney either side). We're used to the tropics and warm rain.

Never sailed true Arctic stuff, but Snowflake Sailing club have sailed every winter since 1949. I've sailed when it's snowing, when ice floes were going down the river. When ropes and sheets froze during racing.
This winter has been quite mild, but often very wet.
