Change the oil before the boat's lifted out. You'll be able to get the engine warm first, so it will drain better. And you'll be able to run it after changing the oil, to get nice fresh oil distributed around the engine.

Raw water cooled I assume, flush out with fresh water for 1/2 Hr or so then fill with 25% mix of soluable oil, use the soluable oil as anti-freeze in an indirect cooled engine as well For winter storage) cheaper, and has good cooling properties as well, added bonus if heater or calorifier fitted, more heat transferred to them, used to use this oil when at sea for big standby diesels. (£10 for 5 lts. approx.)
