Re: Hey all you Winkers - some advice please.

I say Arthur old chap, a bit near the knuckle there what? Just realised that this posting could be misinterpreted as something rude. Typical of a transatlantic type to reduce the tone to a level of vulgarity, don't you know.

Oh and it's getting on for midnight on Friday night and we're not "at work", this side of the pond old boy.

Colin-sorry if I offended your sensibilities, but I was only going by the times on the postings, all of which are between 0900 & 1700. I must admit I've forgotten what was written some months ago about what those time represent, ie UK or contributor's local time. I'll see wot 'appens wiv this one. It's about 0600 here. And by the way, I might be transatlantic, but I'm as Brit as you :)

Colin - Seems time is local, so other than the midnight missive, all the others were during "working hours." Has anyone done any studies on how much the www affects UK productivity?

Ooh dear Arthur, guess I must have forgotton to put in lots of <BG> :) ;-). I know that you're really a proper human person, i.e. from ENGERLAND and not a true goddam yank. J

Just wanted to be sure that nobody tried to unobtrusivley change the word "winkers" into a word that I find truly offensive, i.e. winkel.

Winkel is the Dutch word for shops. I get really offended when the wife says she's off to have a look at some winkels. Specially when she comes back and says she's found a nice new big winkel that she quite fancies. ;-) ;-).
