I,ve noticed that a lot of winking goes on in this forum. Some wink before they write others finish off with a wink. Interestingly nobody seems to wink mid article. So is winking becoming fashionable again, is there some etiquette for winking on line , do regulars writers wink more than casual users, do certain subjects bring on more winkers than others.

Should those of us who do not wink, start.

Re: just back from lunch, Barry?

Might be. Actually remarkably sober today <BW>. Mind you I've got a large chunk of a Rinker in my suit jacket so it wouldn't do to fall over <G>

Hey all you Winkers - some advice please.

Have heard it said before that this forum is inhabited by a bunch of winkers but haven't got the hang of all these symbols yet.

Anybody got a definitive list?

And also when is the best time to wink? Before, during or after posting?

LOL = laugh out loud
ROFL = rolling on the floor laughing
IMHO = in my humble opinion
:) = Smile
;-) = smile & wink
:-( = sad
:-< = really sad
BTW = by the way
One uses a wink ;-) to show that a remark in a posting isn't meant to offend.

Re:Editting

Byron have you noticed that since you spelt diesel wrong.
You've edited nearly every post.
Now I know you like good spelling.
But you dont have to get paranoick (ups) about it!!!

Re:Editting

H, I think in his original post he spelt "winking" wrong.
Trying to do it too fast.
Put an extra "k" in it. (nudge nudge wink wink)

See you've still not managed to leave the return key alone though. ;-)
