I'm thinking I might sometime...

It's not bad sailing. Unfortunately, two lowish power lines limit any boat larger than a dinghy to the middle 50% or so - the 490 should have about 9" clearance if Tongland Power Station isn't running. However, that leaves lots of possibilities on about ten miles of loch with islands, bays and all that Swallows and Amazons type stuff. There's a good slipway, cheap launching and moorings at the Galloway Sailing Centre.

You can. OB Sailing, based at Maiden Marine at Ferry Nab, have a few Bendytoy Oceanis etc. There are probably others but this is the only company I know of.

Yes to these Guys - I have use them too, but by 'eck, not cheap day out.

Could have something handier in Turkey for almost the week !
