I understand waves in the Channel are currently over 10 feet due to high winds.

My thoughts are with the intrepid souls who are off to St.Malo on the MDL cruise.

Batton down the hatches and secure for rough running. :(

(Or, "Assume, NBCD Sate 2, Condition Yankee. Close all watertight doors and hatches. The two clip rule is now in force. Yankee patrols muster in 2-echo forward flat. Ships company and reminded, etc. etc.....! " LOL!)

I might add, that SWMBO has been known to be very seasick, just because she THOUGHT the ship had put to sea before - said ship was actually still tied up alongside in Portsmouth Harbour and not due to cast off for another half hour! Could be interesting on the ferry tonight ;)

Well the intrepid sailors are already on their way to Portsmouth, we'll see later if they depart!

Thanks for all your kind thoughts. We had a really great time, although the waves did wake us up at 3.30am! Interesting to feel such a monster of a ship move like that. . . . No one was ill at all,and we had the best of fun touring in a very sunny, not to mention warm, Brittany the following day. Recommended.
