Will renovo work on this sprayhood?

My sail has left white marks on my sprayhood because I didn't lift the boom up high enough and it's been rubbing on it

Will renovo work on it to restore the colour? Or any other product? The white marks won't wash off - the blue colour has been rubbed off the sprayhood.

I'd like to try and restore the colour if there was an easy way of doing it.

Thanks

If the colour is actually removed it would seem likely that the only way to restore it would be to re-dye it.

Perhaps a marker pen might work, but a colour match seems unlikely.

I have had great success re-colouring sprayhood and stack pack etc from light blue to navy blue.
If you look on their website or Amazon etc I think you will find they do not supply a light blue stain.
It works just like any fabric stain for clothes etc, it does make the fabric a little stiffer, which I found an advantage.
If you plan to do this I would suggest taking canvas work off and doing it indoors if you can. 2 brushed coats, drys overnight.
If you do it in situ you might get drips on your deck which are difficult and time consuming to remove.

Edit to say: you could try this outlet and ask them if they have your colour. Renovo was originally designed for car soft tops I think.
However Ive never seen a light blue one. Perhaps they can advise or do an extensive internet search?

Thanks - very helpful. Yes the renovo stuff you linked was what I was thinking of using. I'll give it a go or some other type of dye if I can find a better colour match.
