So....

First of all we were looking at a small dayboat...

Then, they were all a bit small so we were looking at a larger bowrider, because we didn't want a cabin....

Then, we were looking at a larger cuddy, because all the smaller cuddies were a bit "cramped"....

NOW... well now we might just be looking at a small dayboat, because after all "we aren't going to want to stay overnight are we".....

Firstly we like to cover all options and second we don't want you to get too fixed on one idea. It's all for your own good you understand :D:D

When I chose the current boat my wife didn't have any confidence in my decision. She just wanted to know what my best friend thought of it. If he was happy she would be happy. End of.

It depends how you are as a couple. You need to use psychology and get her believe she made the final decision. This way you get ownership of the decision and a larger budget to spend, which has to be good.

I think I must be in the fortunate position of having a SWMBO with similar likes and dislikes. When we upgraded to our current boat last year it really was a joint decision. I even asked the question as whether we should upgrade or invest the money in bricks and mortar. The answer was a resounding "BOAT!"

On the other hand I do really feel the need now to replace our 12 year old RIB and I'm having problems :D

Do not, repeat NOT, think that any problem presented by SWMBO calls for your suggestion of a solution. In fact she already solved it and doesn't care about your contribution - just want's to tell you about it :D

It's part of the game to investigate all possible and impossible boats. If you do not make sure that the impossible boats really are impossible, how can you know for sure? And the opposite - how can you know how perfect a perfect boat is until you investigate it?

Once there, make sure you present the possible answers to SWMBO. Omit the option "No" :)
