I have just been asked why I bother reading all the inane crap on this forum, and I cant seem to find a logical answer. I am now worried that it may be like an obsessive compulsive disorder. I also find myself answering a lot of it.... Am I beyond help? Is there somewhere I can go to get straightened out....???? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Re: There is a cure

Took your advice yesterday afternoon. Thank you. Seems to restore sanity temporarily but does anyone know how to get antifoul off wellies please?
Expected this post to have been moved to a comfy seat in the lounge by now though..... Surprised I'm still here!! Have all the seats been taken by the Scottish National Party?

Re: There is a cure

The answer is to buy a new pair oif wellies! My job on Sunday, is to try and get the boot topping straight. I'll settle for straighter than last year, though I bought one of those cheapy lasers from B&Q so I ought to get it straight, if not level.
This post does contain the word "sailing" (twice now), not to mention "antifouling", so maybe it has escaped the pogrom. I'm not sure I'm going to get to visit the lounge as well as the two usual ones, in between work. We'll see.

I use a laser myself. Do remember however that it needs to be set up dead level and this also assumes the boat is dead level on its blocks. Of it ain't you will need to tip the laser at the same angle the boat is. Best plan is to make a mark fore and aft to align the laser too and then mark intermediate points from there. Good luck!

Re: There is a cure

Thanks. I have a rough line, so I plan to pick two points that I think ought to be on the line, then set the beast up on my camera tripod so that it joins them together. That ought to obviate any tilt on the boat itself; I'm fairly sure she's level port to starboard, but I should check this. The main problem will, I suspect, be getting far enough back to see the stem and stern at the same time. Once we're happy with a line I will slowly scan whilst SWMBO marks the hull with a felt tip.
