Who makes this fabric?

Hi Jimmy
Good going. Which grey is it? Is it the exact same silvery movida that I have on my tender and foredeck? Maybe called platinum. And what gauge are the squares? I'm about to reupholster all my outsides.
Nice variation on lake sailor btw :D

Morning jfm

1. no, I don't think it is the same shade. I think you might have Silvertex Plata (lightest shade of silver/grey that they do), and my pref is for Sterling
2. I'd like 100mm squares; different providers offer different choices with this
3. I didn't read it as a lakesailor, sorry :D I thought I was thanking aquapower for the Timage link...

I think what I'm going to do is stick all the cushions etc and samples (I have loads!) in the van and just go up to Tockfield and make a decision when I'm up there. I kinda want to get this underway now, because I'd like the upholstery to be ready by mid-March.

No worries Jimmy. Was pulling leg on lake sailor :D
I am 100mm squares too. That's what I currently have. But yes I'm only interested in plata so I can't help. I am in the right timescale as I have transport going north with my stuff 20 February, but it has to be plata for me so let's go separate ways. Good luck with yours- will look fantastic
Wonderful sunshine in antibes today btw. It's that very picturesque time of year with flat blue sea, blue sky, but heavy snow on the Alps lit up bright white by the sun, in the background 70 miles away. Fabulous! A&K are skiing down them btw.

Yep, I was there yesterday. V windy yesterday though. First time I've been down for about three months - I see that big event space over the new carpark has now been revealed, finally. (And much more prosaically, the new bus station by the station is open as well... :D)

Is that Isola 2000? Supposed to be quite nice. What's the journey there like from Antibes?

Time to decide. I really wanted the quilted fabric for the sunpads, but 12.5m (the min order for Vyva, mentioned by jfm above) is about three times more than I need. Wot now skipper? :D

you can line the f/b and aft deck cushions with that no?
any reason why you only want it on the sunpad (silly Q, is that the bow sunpad or you're talking about the aft one? )

could be possibly interested, if the colour is right (not sure what it is you're after tbh) if it matches my RAL...

cheers

V.

I did warn you! Anyhow, perhaps this is less of a problem in Antibes (especially if you have crew) than in somewhere like Port Solent with its "Fawley fallout" and dust from the neighbouring landfill site!

It will be a big problem in Antibes and the med generally = red rain .
Come on guys fess up - those squares as Pete infers will be right 8uggers to get the red **** out of corners

Apropos of obtaining fabrics, JtB told me of CTP Textiles who supply Silvertex and they've been very good sending multiple free A4 sized samples as I try to match an existing helm seat. Not even a customer yet, but they've been helpful.

Isola 2000 is a shite hole, skiing quite lively there though. Auron is more picturesque and Valberg very nice for family skiing. You can get the bus to the resorts direct from Nice Airport.

The drive up is more likely to make you travel sick than a day on the boat, the road is as bendy as a bendy thing

umm, but have you seen the fabric on the chair lifts in Auron?

Very 70s retro, diamond stitched rather than square, very Lambo Muira looking.

There back on thread. :)
