A boat fire is not that unusual but two boats being set alight smacks of real anger:-(

There was a fire in the marina in Ibiza about 3 or 4 years ago. 11 boats were destroyed, when the fire spead from one to the next. All were worth over £1m each, some several million. These boats were on the outside arm of the marina and the firefighters had trouble getting to them

The yard is covered by CCTV and of course there would have been people staying down there or just attending the Light House bar. I used to spend many hours down there and it is surprising how many people are moving around there during the night. I am extremely puzzled by the claim of arson now I have thought it over. I went down there last weekend but I wasn't able to find the boats set fire too.

For the reasons I have already posted. The place have CCTV all over and very strong yard lights. There is a barrier to enter through that photographs each car that opens it and as I said there are lots of people around although those who do not know that may not realise it. They are like farmers who know each pheasant they have and where it roosts each night. I cannot see the sense of setting fire to a boat either! I believe most thefts from there are carried out by people arriving by boat. I have just had a rememory I know a chap who lived there for a long time and left under a shadow. At his new berth his boat caught fire but I cannot remember the details or the boat as it was a while ago now but I know he was mightily p***** off with Jonathon for some reason.
