Mapism & Chippysmith Boats

The Boat at Perros Guirec was a Rangeboat 39 built not far from Perros

Was the boat that Mapism took out due to a midlife crisis? possibly a Sunseeker XS with Trimax surface drives?

Drawn in by the topic name and have some pics of a lovely boat seen this year, essentially a raggie but this took my eye! hope you like them. Does anyone know what it is?

And do you know where??

Haven't been through the rest of the thread to see if this has been answered, but I am 99.9% sure it is a Range Boat 39.

LOL, nope, I already had my midlife crisis with a similar boat - albeit smaller and single engine, and now sold, anyway.
When I said "I took this", I meant this picture, not this boat...! :)
Anyway sorry, no cigar. Neither an XS nor Buzzi's Trimax, in fact.
She has NXT dry sump outdrives, though definitely working as surface transmissions/props - see below.
Oh, and another hint: she's built in the US of A.
And from one of the well known sportboats builders.

Had a lovely little trip up the Medway earlier this year in Whisky Mac, which has just been sold.

Now, THAT is a greeeaaat bit of equipment, tell us more!

As an aside, your couple of pics below remind me of when you told that you would have mostly used Match at 10 kts, hence the stabs, and so forth.
Hard to resist throwing some diesel into those 64 litres, I guess...? :D

The sofa is awesome MapisM. Best toy of the year. Even has 2xdrinks holders in the arms. £10 from local French supermarket. Plus, er, €40 for the electric pump to blow it up (but that's capital equipemnt see, not expense :))

And yes, I didn't stick to my principles of 10knot eco-cruising, but I think that's ok in year 1 of new boat :). The boat chomped through through 50k+ litres of fuel in 2011, gweep

Best toy of the year
Yeah, I can see why! Fantastic shape, both to use it on the swim platform and while floating. And nice colours, too.
Not to mention that I've already afforded the capital expenditure! :D
Actually, I've seen some similar stuff around, but none as nice as this one.
Does that supermarket sell also online, by chance?

With apologies to the OP for the o/t.

Eccellent. Therefore you can actually reduce your per-unit capex MapisM, by cresating additional output for your pump (applying taught-at-school non-cash economics).

It was bought from Geant-Casino, the big one near Nice Airport and Villeneuve Loubet. I checked their website and it is not there, but it is a summer product so that's to be expected. Check back next May. Definitely partly designed by a good naval architect :-). And an interior designer - it is made of vinyl but the outer surface is finished in those little fibres applied by static electricity to make a "velvet" feel. Yup, it's a very nice job, China's finest gear :-)

Can I ask you to explain that to my wife?
See, I've got a pump also in my garage, and I'm looking at an Alfa Romeo SZ which I've found, in as new conditions.
If that wouldn't be another nice way to reduce the unitary CapEx, I don't know what else is. But she doesn't seem to understand that, for some reason...
Otoh, I'm sure she'll approve the 10 quid sofa.
Women... Who can understand them?! :)

Hmmm. Your SWMBO is too smart MapisM. See, it would have to be an inflatable ARSZ for that economics analysis to work, alas.

I hope you buy it anyway. 6 is a great number for headlights :-)
